Jim Harbaugh Expressing Hope for Michigan's Offense is a Terrible Sign

After getting blown out by Wisconsin a couple weeks ago, the Michigan Wolverines have won two straight, including a 52-0 win over Rutgers and Saturday's victory against a ranked Iowa team.

You can understand head coach Jim Harbaugh being encouraged by their recent play, but not from an offensive standpoint. They are winning in spite of their offense, which only scored 10 points at home vs Iowa.

But that didn't keep Harbaugh from expressing a surprising amount of hope regarding OC Josh Gattis and Co.

What are you looking at? Not only did they score just 10 points today, but Michigan had only 13 first downs, which was less than Iowa, and they totaled just 267 yards.

That's what you call "hitting our stride?"

This was suppose to be the year Michigan's offense, led by heralded quarterback Shea Patterson, was prolific and gave opposing teams something to fear when playing the Wolverines.

That's been far from what we've seen, and when they play a tough team like Iowa, they can't move the ball effectively.

You have to hope that's just coach speak and not what he truly thinks.
