The New York Jets were expected to make the leap from mediocrity to playoff contender in 2019, but have ultimately fallen well short of expectations.

Currently underachieving to the tune of a 1-6 record, the Jets have made some key players available at the trade deadline, having already shipped Leonard Williams across town to the G-Men.

Well, the latest report claims that Le'Veon Bell could be the next man out, as the Jets are reportedly looking to deal the star running back, per Manish Mehta.

This would be a big surprise if the Jets ended up dealing their marquee offseason acquisition. They inked Bell to a four-year, $52 million deal after the running back infamously sat out the 2018 season in Pittsburgh in hopes of securing a better contract.

Well, the Jets gave Bell the guaranteed money he sought, but they may not be the team who ends up paying him most of what he's due if they manage to find a trade partner.

Bell has been remarkably positive and good-natured during the Jets' struggles this season, but it's still possible that he's unhappy in East Rutherford and looking for greener pastures.

In his debut season for the Jets, the 27-year-old has rushed 107 times for 349 yards and one rushing touchdown. He's hauled in 32 receptions for 187 yards and an additional score.
