Ask any football fan who the best wide receiver of all time is, and you'll almost certainly get Jerry Rice for an answer. A receiver who was at the top of the game for over two decades, Rice leads most statistical categories for wide receivers in throughout NFL history.

Well, appearing as a guest on The Adam Schefter Podcast, Rice weighed in on his opinion as to who the current top dog at the position is. The former 49ers great gave the nod to Falcons star Julio Jones, declaring him the best receiver in the league.

Since being selected as the sixth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Jones, similarly to Rice, has always been one of the best at the position. He's amassed 12,125 yards across nine seasons. He's scored 57 touchdowns in his career, and has 797 receptions.

Jones has been a walking highlight reel since entering the league. Apart from the one year he was injured in 2013, he has finished with 1,000+ receiving yards every single year since 2012. He's also led the league in receiving yards in two seasons (2015, 2018).

Jones recently got rewarded for his years of outstanding service by signing a lucrative contract with Atlanta, a three-year, $66 million extension, this past September.

He's got the pay check to back up his top-dog status among wide receivers, and now Jones has been vouched for by Rice himself.
