Jerry Jones Suggests Cowboys Could Pursue Another DB Ahead of NFL Trade Deadline
By Sam Dunn

The Dallas Cowboys are fresh off a bye week and ready to embark on the second half of the NFL season, but despite their modest lead in the NFC East race, they're not content to rest on their laurels.
Per insider Clarence Hill of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram, Big D is considering a move to add additional help at safety, though no deal is currently understood to be in negotiations.

There's certainly room for improvement at strong safety, as Hill notes. Jeff Heath is the incumbent starter there, but does not excel in coverage and has shown moments of less-than-sure tackling ability. That's not the stuff playoff runs are made of, especially in a conference that features the likes of Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers, to say nothing of Jimmy Garoppolo and the undefeated 49ers.
A strange divide exists between how Cowboys coaches and teammates view Jeff Heath and how a vocal section of fans do. The team knows how Heath works. It knows his story. Here that is. https://t.co/5OQ4QSzGeR

The postseason always seems to come down to just a handful of plays. Jerry Jones and the Boys would do well to monitor the DB market ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline if there's sneaky value to be had.
