Jerry Jones Has Extremely Bizarre Quote About Michael Bennett After Cowboys Acquire Him
By Parker White

On Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys beefed up their defensive line by acquiring veteran pass rusher Michael Bennett from the New England Patriots for a conditional 2021 seventh-round pick.
This was a nice move for the Cowboys, especially with defensive end Tyrone Crawford landing on injured reserve.
But beyond the obvious football fit and cheap price, what Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had to say about this move was very interesting, and a bit intense.

“He’s known as a great locker room personality,” Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “There’s nothing negative about him as an individual. . . . He’s got war daddy in him when he gets on the field. I know that he’ll fit us great.”

Is that a Texas term? What does it mean to have "war daddy" in him?
I'm going to venture to guess that is a positive attribute that Jerry sees in the game-breaking Bennett. Of course, Jones and the Cowboys saw that "war daddy" in the pass rusher when he was with the Eagles last year, a season in which he compiled seven tackles, two tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble in what ended up being a Cowboys win.
All I know is that Bennett and Jerry's personalities are perfect for each other, so it makes sense that they'd be on the same team.
