Jay Onrait Blasts Chris Broussard as 'Fraud' in NSFW Kawhi Tirade

One of two things transpired after Kawhi Leonard duped nearly every connected media member in the NBA by signing with the Los Angeles Clippers over the Lakers and Raptors. Either Chris Broussard, Cris Carter, Jalen Rose and every other analyst with a mouthpiece was being played by Kawhi's camp like a fiddle to get stories out into the public or they were just making it up as they went along.

Sportscaster Jay Onrait, now back in Canada after a brief stint with FS1, is more inclined to pick the latter, calling Broussard specifically a "fraud."

"Chris Broussard, who works at Fox, is the biggest f---ing fraud in the history of sports media ever," Onrait said on his podcast. "ESPN kicked him out, I don’t know what he’s doing now, saying that the Clippers were out of it for sure and it was down to the Lakers and Raptors. He knew nothing! They knew nothing!"

While it is rare for Broussard and so many others to completely whiff, the credibility of all of these sources can be called into question when Broussard declared the race for Kawhi a "two-horse race" between the Lakers and Clippers and Ric Bucher called Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to the Knicks "a done deal."

Here's a good rule of thumb for free agency. If one of the Big 4 insiders (Woj, Shams, Marc Stein, and Chris Haynes) didn't report something, it's acceptable to view it with at least some degree of skepticism.

Broussard truly made himself look bad with his comments during free agency, and he's made an enemy of Onrait, or so it seems.
