Jason Garrett Offers Update on Ezekiel Elliott's Conditioning and Practice Workload

Ezekiel Elliott is back at practice and preparing for Week 1 of the season against the New York Giants after signing his five-year, $90 million deal earlier this week, making him the highest paid running back in the sport.
That's great and exciting news for the franchise, but will he be ready to go for Sunday? According to head coach Jason Garrett, Elliott looks good and is in great shape.

Elliott was a limited participant in practice and they haven't determined whether he'll be on a pitch count for Sunday. Obviously, that will probably be determined on how he feels throughout the rest of the week, as well as what the game situation ends up being against the Giants.
If they don't need to run the ball a lot or if they come out to a gigantic lead, I wouldn't expect Zeke to have a full workload.

Now that he's been paid the big bucks, don't expect the Cowboys to run him into the ground. Instead, they'll probably take a more cautious approach and make sure he's in "football shape."
