Ezekiel Elliott Weighs in on Relationship With Jerry Jones Following Cowboys Holdout
By Michael Luciano

Just two days before the NFL season kicks off and five days before the Dallas Cowboys open their season against the New York Giants, they managed to sign their superstar running back to a massive contract.
Ezekiel Elliott, who just signed a massive six-year, $90 million with the Cowboys, didn't always seem to see eye to eye with owner Jerry Jones, as he felt slighted by Jones' "Zeke who?" quip in the preseason. Despite the fact that he and Jones have not spoken in some time, even after signing the deal, Elliott insists he's "good" with Jerry.

“Honestly, I didn’t talk to Jerry at all,” Elliott said.
Elliott did say that he harbors no ill will towards him, and that the back and forth was merely a byproduct of haggling over a contract.
“It’s just negotiations. You’ve got to get through it,” Elliott said. “We’re good.”

While there appears to be a large degree of mutual respect between the two parties, Elliott and Jones still likely aren't on the best of terms if they still haven't spoken to each other. If this season starts going awry, you can bet that their relationship will be right back in the national media crosshairs.
