Jared Goff and Mitch Trubisky Suck Against Each Other in Prime Time and We Can't Wait for Their 2020 Battle

There are no quarterbacks in the current NFL more polarizing than Jared Goff and Mitch Trubisky. The Los Angeles Rams traded a bounty of draft capital to select Goff first overall in 2016, while the Chicago Bears traded up one spot in 2017 to draft Trubisky, with Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson on the board.

Goff and Trubisky haven't exactly endeared themselves to the NFL masses when they face off in primetime, either. In fact, they're downright dreadful. But of course, we get to see both battle each other on Monday Night Football in Week 7 this upcoming season!

NFL fans might need a lot of alcohol to help them willingly sit on their couches to watch this game.

The Week 7 matchup in 2020 will be the rubber match between both quarterbacks. Trubisky and the Bears defeated the Rams by the exciting score of...15-6 the first time they met. But wait, the 2019 version was a better game, because Goff and Los Angeles evened things up, by trouncing the Bears..17-7.

Yes, they were close games, but they were nowhere near exciting. The defenses shined, but the offenses led by Goff and Trubisky couldn't fight their way through a wet paper bag to reach the red zone. It was embarrassing to watch, and quite frankly, set the game of football back by a couple of decades. And no, we're not over-exaggerating.

ESPN will have a tough time trying to market this matchup. The only way this game can bring an ounce of hype to it is if Nick Foles takes over the starting quarterback job once Week 7 rolls around.
