Get your engines revved up: the race for the Indy 500 begins today. Coverage begins at 11am on NBC with the pre-race show. The event has a 12pm ET start time and a 12:45 pm ET waving of the Green Flag. It is expected to be an active and exciting day of racing as well as the most important race of the year.

All 200 laps around the classic 2.5 mile track can be viewed live on NBC, streamed on NBCsports.com, as well as on IndyCar.com and on SiriusXM. You can also access it via the 2019 Live Streams Reddit.

Weather could also be a concern for the race, as there is an 80 percent chance of precipitation, which can affect the conditions on the tracks and potentially wreak havoc for the drivers. However, the Indy 500 is expected to start on time.
