Unless you successfully avoided the numerous "Woj Bombs" that dropped on Sunday, everyone and their distant relatives found out the news of Kevin Durant leaving the Golden State Warriors for the Brooklyn Nets.

Even with the two-time NBA Finals MVP leaving the Warriors out to dry, co-owner Joe Lacob announced that his No. 35 will be retired.

While everyone had an inkling that Durant would leave, Warriors legend and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Rick Barry expressed his confusion as to why the generational superstar would leave Golden State.

"I'm hoping some day he's gonna come forward and actually explain why it is he made the decision to leave because personally I can't figure out what reasons would justify wanting to leave the situation that he's in," Barry told TMZ Sports.

"It's such an incredible opportunity to be one of the greatest teams in the history of your sport. You have great teammates who can help you to achieve the goal of winning more championships and not have to carry the whole load yourself, be in a new arena that's gonna be fantastic, with great fans. So it's hard for me to conceive of why he wanted to leave."

Count Barry as the lone individual who didn't think Durant would leave the Warriors.

Barry must somehow be forgetting Durant's Achilles injury and reported spat with Draymond Green. That's probably enough to understand if you're aware those were potential factors.
