Even during the NBA offseason, San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is still finding ways to make us laugh.

Recently, coach Pop released a statement about one of his former players--team legend Tim Duncan--joining his coaching staff. To put it simply, his statement was about as fitting with the Popovich brand that we've seen lately.

It's only been a few years since Duncan stepped away from the NBA after a brilliant 19-year career spent entirely with the Spurs. Based on his demeanor and professionalism during his playing career, most would agree that Duncan would make just as good of a coach as he was a player.

Well, apparently the Spurs think the same way. Duncan will now work directly under Popovich, who was his coach for all 19 years.

Considering the chemistry that existed between Pop and Duncan for 19 seasons, this is a great move by the Spurs. They get one of the franchise's most beloved stars back in the fold, working under one of the best NBA coaches of our time.

Expect for the Popovich-Duncan coaching duo to provide elevated play from the Spurs, but also some more hilarious moments like this one.
