VIDEO: Saquon Barkley Looks Absurdly Sharp at Giants Practice 11 Days After Suffering Ankle Sprain

When Saquon Barkley was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain following an awkward landing in Week 3, there was plenty of valid concern that the star running back could be sidelined for "several" weeks. Well, Barkley is no average man, and while a typical human being may need a month or two to recover from the ailment, it looks as if the Giants RB is already making tremendous progress. He was seen at practice on Thursday doing some high-level warmups, making surprisingly sharp cuts on the turf considering his ailing ankle.

That definitely doesn't look like someone who's dealing with a serious ankle sprain.

That's not human.

Barkley picked up the injury in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins, exiting the game early after recording just 10 yards on eight carries.

He wasn't anticipated to be back in the fold until the end of the month at the earliest, and while the Giants may (and should) tread cautiously with their star running back, his progress at practice is encouraging to say the least. He hasn't even been ruled out for this week yet, since we live in bizarro world.

Giants fans are hoping to see Barkley back on the field before long, and based off these clips from practice, the star running back seems to be recovering well ahead of his anticipated timetable.
