Germany dominated Nigeria in the Round of 16, 3-0, to advance to the Quarterfinals Round and have yet to lose all tournament. The Germans won Group B with all nine points and a +6 goal differential, but Sweden will be the toughest team they've faced to this point in the tournament.
Unlike Germany, Sweden snuck into the Quarterfinals Round with a 1-0 win over Canada. Sweden's road to the Quarterfinals wasn't as easy as Germany's, losing to the United States 2-0 in its final Group Stage match. After losing Group F to the United States, Sweden is looking to rejoin Megan Rapinoe and the United States as one of last four teams remaining.

Germany has won four of its last five matches against Sweden, with the other result a 0-0 draw. The Germans are the favorite, but Sweden is a top-10 team and won't go down quietly.
