Georgia Should Replace D'Andre Swift the Right Way With Oklahoma State's Chuba Hubbard
By Scott Rogust

Earlier this year, running back Chuba Hubbard announced his intent to return to Oklahoma State for his junior season, instead of foregoing his remaining eligibility to declare for the NFL Draft. Flash forward five months later, Hubbard announced he will "not be doing anything" with the university after head coach Mike Gundy was spotted wearing a t-shirt with the logo of controversial far-right news outlet, One America Network (OAN).
With a plethora of his teammates supporting his decision, Hubbard could potentially enter the transfer portal. If that's the case, Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart should actively pursue Hubbard to replace D'Andre Swift, who was recently drafted in the second round by the Detroit Lions.
Justin Fields was granted immediate eligibility last season due to racially targeted comments from a Georgia athlete (which was a very good thing).

I don’t really see any reason Chuba Hubbard shouldn’t be allowed the same option because of Gundy’s repeated ignorant actions.
The loss of Swift does sting for the Bulldogs, as he posted over 1,000 yards on the ground in each of the past two seasons. The team does have former 5-star recruit Zamir White as the presumptive starter on the depth chart. But, considering the amount of pressure for success that Smart and the Bulldogs has entering the upcoming campaign, securing the services of Hubbard would be a tremendous move.
Hubbard would thrive in Athens, Georgia. The Bulldog's offense is primarily a rushing attack, and the team always boasts one of the best offensive lines in the country. Oh, and then there's the production Hubbard put up while playing for the Cowboys.

In 13 games this past season, Hubbard blew up the stat-sheet by rushing for 2,094 yards and 21 touchdowns on 328 carries (6.4 yards/carry).
Granted, this all depends on if Gundy can perform some flawless damage control to convince Hubbard to return to the program. If the head coach is unable to do so, the Bulldogs should make a heavy run for the explosive running back.
