Georgia Asks Fans to Wear Pink Saturday to Honor Arkansas State Coach Blake Anderson's Wife Wendy
By Parker White

If you're a Georgia Bulldogs fan and have plans on going to Saturday's game against Arkansas State, make sure you're wearing pink. It may not be a team color, but it's for a great cause.
Sadly back on August 20, the wife of Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson, Wendy Anderson, passed away after a two-year battle with breast cancer. Bulldog fans can cheer against the Red Wolves on Saturday, but wearing some pink to honor Wendy would be an awesome gesture.

Anderson, who went on leave during training camp, had this to say after her passing.
“Final Wendy update,” Blake Anderson wrote. “There’s a celebration in heaven today because Wendy is home … My beautiful girl has gone home to be with Jesus. No more pain, no more suffering, and praise Him no more cancer. She passes as peacefully and gracefully as you could ever hope just a few minutes before midnight with me laying right beside her. I have been so blessed to have her by my side each day for the past 27 years. Thank you so much to all, who have walked, prayed, cried and loved her through this brutal two-year battle. Praise Him that she hurts no more, and is in his presence now and forever.”

Georgia is the No. 3 team in the country, while Arkansas State is 1-1 after a loss to SMU and a win vs. UNLV. They head into Athens as 33-point underdogs, so a win doesn't look to be plausible. However, if Georgia fans can make coach Anderson feel loved and appreciated after his tragic loss, that's a win for everyone.
