Former All-Pro Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha is Now a Successful Broadway Actor
By Sean Facey

Life after football doesn't come easy for many retired NFL stars. However, not all of them struggle to adjust to their new routine when they hang up the cleats.
Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, who spent 11 seasons in the league with the Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers, has actually managed to carve out a career on Broadway after retiring from the NFL.

Asomugha is one of the stars in A Soldier's Play, and that's honestly quite impressive, though it's nothing new to him.
He's been acting for quite some time now. In fact, he appeared on Friday Night Lights in 2009, right when he was establishing himself as one of the game's elite ball hawks with the Raiders.
From 2008 to 2010, Asomugha attended three consecutive Pro Bowls and was twice selected as a First-Team All-Pro. During that stretch, he snagged two interceptions and registered 80 solo tackles.

He also co-produced "American Son" on Broadway — starring his wife, Kerry Washington.
It's been "a pretty surreal journey," he says. https://t.co/j0Z412WmoY
So it definitely seems safe to say that he's doing well for himself. He basically went from being an elite football player to being an elite actor with no hitches whatsoever.
He even cited some similarities between theater and football, calling both "team sports."
Not a bad gig to get in the first few years of retirement, and he's clearly enjoying life after football.
