Florida Reportedly Hiring Former FSU Assistant Greg Frey for Analyst Role
By Parker White

Former Florida State Seminoles offensive line coach Greg Frey has reportedly accepted a job with the Florida Gators and will join their coaching staff as an analyst.
Got direct confirmation that former FSU OL coach Greg Frey has accepted an offer to join the Gators staff in an off field role as an analyst. Big get. A proven coach and recruiter coming over from a rival with something to prove.

Frey was not retained by the Seminoles after an abysmal first season under head coach Willie Taggart. Frey had one year remaining on his contract with Florida State, so he'll be getting paid by both Florida schools next year.
In a wild twist, former #FSU offensive line coach Greg Frey has reportedly agreed to help the rival #Gators this season. @AbbeyRadeka has more: https://t.co/yk4kCAhMFk

Despite being a well-respected coach, it didn't come as a huge shock that Frey was let go after Florida State was under .500 for the first time since 1977, and the biggest reason was because the offensive line was putrid.
This new role with the Gators for Frey will be different, as the bulk of his work will be off-the-field. However, Frey still provides another expert who should be able to work well with Florida OL coach John Hevesy.
