Yes, it was an extra point, but as far as we're concerned Florida International can celebrate all they want after walking into Miami and upsetting the Hurricanes. After a touchdown made things 30-17, FIU's kicker sunk the point after and rubbed it in Manny Diaz's face.

That's absolutely unheard of for a kicker, let alone one from Conference USA. Diaz is in no jeopardy of losing his job despite the embarrassing loss in Year One. However, it's been a season of lows for the Canes, despite the fact they'll make a bowl game out of the ACC.
Miami took their opponent lightly. It's a teaching experience for Diaz, but a costly one.
