Wow, talk about the NCAA version of Josh McDaniels.

Well, McDaniels never technically took the Indianapolis Colts job, but that whole feeling of leaving a team at the altar has to be how the Temple Owls feel right about now.

After former Miami Hurricanes defensive coordinator Manny Diaz accepted the Owls head coaching job on Dec. 12, he has now had a change of heart following ex-Miami head coach Mark Richt's sudden decision to retire on Sunday.

Manny Diaz will now be the guy for The U, and Temple stays spurned.

OK, there never really was one, but if the scheduling committee does one thing right, then they should get the now-coachless Owls to face off against Miami, the team that just poached their 2019 head man who had the job for just over two weeks.

Since Diaz has spent the last several years as a key piece of Miami's staff, they know just how much he is worth, especially after their tough 2018 season getting motivated under Richt's tutelage.

What a wild Turnover Chain of events.
