Early Odds Have Michigan Favored in Literally Every Game This Season

Ohio State fans, look away.

Betting lines have been released by The Golden Nugget out in Vegas, and they indicate that the Michigan Wolverines will be favored in every game of the upcoming college football season. This would be the first time in Jim Harbaugh's tenure that has happened.

Michigan, who spent the majority of last season in the Top 10, is likely to open there in the AP preseason rankings. The casino's odds are certainly influenced by the fact that Michigan will be home at the Big House for its toughest game of the season against Ohio State –– a team they have yet to beat under Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh's tenure with Michigan has been good, but not great: since taking over as head coach in 2015, he has put together three 10-win seasons, but Michigan has won only one bowl game. Clearly, Vegas expects this to be a season in which Michigan could get over the hump.

Michigan's current recruiting class is ranked 14th in the nation and third in the Big Ten. They're also returning senior quarterback Shea Patterson, so it makes sense that there are high hopes for Big Blue's season.

Come August, though, betting lines and recruiting classes won't matter anymore, and the Wolverines will have to prove they're as good as advertised.
