At this point, it's apparent the relationship between veteran wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and the Philadelphia Eagles has run its course. Jeffery, despite winning a Super Bowl with the team, has disappointed of late, and may well be the source of many locker room leaks regarding his QB, Carson Wentz's leadership. Fans are rightfully split on whether or not he should return to the field in Philly next season.

Regardless, it's looking more and more likely that Howie Roseman and the Eagles are going to be stuck with No. 17 for next season.

Roseman made it pretty clear Jeffery isn't going anywhere, stating on Thursday the WR is focused on helping this team bring more championships to the city. Jeffery's health has been a major concern for this franchise, as he's missed nine games over the past two campaigns.

In 2019, he played in 10 contests, posting 43 receptions for 490 yards. An average of 49 yards per outing? Yikes. Also, we can't forget about the off-the-field drama, which included him reportedly being the anonymous Eagles player who blasted Carson Wentz, saying the Eagles offense was too complicated for him. That wasn't the only beef between the two.

Unfortunately for the Eagles, they can't cut the angered wideout because of his $26.1 million dead cap hit. They could try and trade him, but who would want to take on his $15.4 million cap hit for next season? Nobody.

At this point, unless Roseman can work a miracle, all signs are pointing to AJ catching balls from Wentz at Lincoln Financial Field next season.
