This Eagles-49ers Draft Day Trade Could Net Eagles Jerry Jeudy or CeeDee Lamb

In a historically deep wide receiver class, Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and Oklahoma star CeeDee Lamb stand out as the two best perimeter players in the 2020 NFL Draft.

One team that is almost guaranteed to stock up on wideouts in this class is the Philadelphia Eagles, as they were throwing to practice squad wide receivers near the end of the year due to injuries. At pick No. 21, however, they are sure to miss out on either of these two game-changers.

The San Francisco 49ers, another candidate to take a wide receiver at pick No. 13, might be the Eagles only hope of swinging a trade up in the draft due to John Lynch's lack of draft capital.

Trades for the likes of Dee Ford and Emmanuel Sanders have left the 49ers without a selection in the second, third and fourth rounds of this draft. Philly might have traded their third-round pick away to grab Darius Slay, but they do have a fourth-round pick, as well as a third-round compensatory pick at No. 104 overall.

Sending one of those two picks to San Francisco along with a third rounder in the 2021 draft and pick No. 21 will be enough to convince Lynch to trade down, giving the Eagles a better shot at landing Lamb or Jeudy.

Philly needs to get Carson Wentz a true star receiver with a higher ceiling than Alshon Jeffery, and the 49ers need draft picks in the worst way possible. Philly parting with a mid-round pick could help them take Lamb or Jeudy, while the 49ers use the middle rounds to add depth to their NFC Champion roster.
