The first round of NFL Draft is just hours away, which always comes with some unexpected surprises. This year, however, there's no excitement with the first overall pick, as the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to take LSU quarterback Joe Burrow. But maybe... just maybe... it won't be the Bengals making the move for the Heisman Trophy winner.

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Miami Dolphins are still trying to find a way to take the top spot for themselves. They aim to secure the third overall pick from the Detroit Lions and flip it along with their current No. 5 selection to the Bengals for the chance to go for Joe.

Man, the NFL might just turn upside down if this actually happens.

The offer is certainly enticing for a team who finished with the worst record in the league the year prior. Instead of the first overall pick, the Bengals would instead convert it to two top-five selections (plus perhaps even more) to help expedite their rebuild.

The key here, however, is that the Bengals are in love with Burrow, who grew up in southeast Ohio. The chance to select a local hero who broke college football records and won everything this past year may just be too good for them to pass up -- not to mention that the Bengals in desperate need of a franchise quarterback.

The Dolphins have reportedly been trying to get in position to select Burrow for more than a month, though there's still more work to be done to make it a reality. It's all contingent on the Lions accepting their offer for the No. 3 pick without having to give up No. 5, which is no easy task.

Be sure to tune into the action tonight. It has the potential to be pure chaos.
