Dolphins' Obvious Tank Job Could Set an Awful Record Sunday vs Cowboys
By Jerry Trotta

We didn't think it was possible, but the Miami Dolphins somehow managed to one-up their embarrassing 59-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens from Week 1. On Sunday, Brian Flores' squad felt the wrath of the New England Patriots, who clobbered the Fins 43-0, a mark that has Miami now outscored 102-10 in eight quarters of football.
Their tanking intentions are palpable, and they could very easily set a record in terms of being labeled an underdog in a point spread. Folks, the Dallas Cowboys have reportedly opened up as 21-point favorites for this weekend's game.
Patriots open as 17.5-point favorites against the Jets, but that isn’t even biggest spread of Week 3. The Cowboys are favored by 21 points at home against the Dolphins.

That 21-point margin stands as the highest point spread since Week 6 of 2013, when the undefeated Denver Broncos took on the winless Jacksonville Jaguars as 20-point favorites.
The only other game with a 20-point spread in NFL history transpired in 2011 when the Patriots were favored by 20.5 points in a game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Ironically enough, both Denver and New England failed to cover in either game.
The Dolphins-Cowboys game this weekend might end up being the biggest point spread in history. ?

Cowboys by .. 20? .. 30? .. 40? .. maybe 50? https://t.co/vToxXwwrnG
Keep in mind it's only Tuesday, so that line is subject to change and something tells us that it won't plunge. In fact, if Miami manages to trade another one of their starters prior to Sunday -- like running back Kenyan Drake and/or defensive back Xavien Howard -- it might even rise north of 21.
