DeMarcus Cousins Says He's Healthy Enough to Play in Game 1 of NBA Finals
By Joey Mauceri

The Golden State Warriors may be without star forward Kevin Durant as they head into their fifth straight NBA Finals, but they could receive a boost in the return of center DeMarcus Cousins.
Cousins has been nursing a left quadriceps tear that has kept him sidelined since the first round of the playoffs. Boogie now believes that he is healthy enough to play in Game 1 of the finals, even if he is not 100% healthy.

Cousins is currently listed as questionable for game 1, but he did participate in practice and scrimmage this week. This certainly bodes well for the former All-Star, who will be playing in his first NBA finals of his career.
The Warriors have managed to not only win without Cousins, but dominate their opponents. Despite this, the Warriors are certainly headed into a tough matchup with the Toronto Raptors and could use the offensive production and rebounding of Cousins.
Steve Kerr says Kevin Durant is officially “out” for Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Warriors haven’t decided whether he’ll even make the trip to Toronto. DeMarcus Cousins’ status is “questionable.”

Especially without Durant, the Warriors will be undersized going against the tall and lanky Raptors squad, whose frontcourt includes the likes of Serge Ibaka, Marc Gasol, Pascal Siakam, and Kawhi Leonard.
