David Ortiz's Wife Reveals the Slugger Underwent 3rd Surgery From Gunshot Wound

David Ortiz is still recovering from the gunshot wound he sustained in the Dominican Republic in early June, and his wife Tiffany just gave another update on the slugger's condition.
Tiffany revealed her husband had undergone his third surgery due to complications from the gun shot wound earlier this week.

“Earlier this week, David underwent a third surgery for complications resulting from his gunshot wound. The operation was performed by Dr. David King at Massachusetts General Hospital. David is recovering well and is in good spirits."
He underwent the procedure at Massachusetts General Hospital, as he looks to continue his fight back to full strength. Mrs. Ortiz claims the slugger is "recovering well and is in good spirits."

The Red Sox released a statement with her comments, updating the passionate fan base on the status of one of the all-time greats of the organization.
The whole baseball world stood still when it was reported the Boston legend was shot in the Dominican Republic in June, and fans of the sport continue to stand in support of Big Papi during his recovery.
Fans everywhere certainly hope this is the last time the 43 year old has to undergo surgery as he progresses in his recovery.
