David Ortiz Returns to Twitter for 1st Time Since June Shooting
By Sam Dunn

You can't keep Big Papi down for long. After nearly losing his life three months ago in a shooting in his native Dominican Republic, David Ortiz has gradually reintroduced himself to public life. He's already checked throwing the first pitch at Fenway Park off his list, and now, he's running it back on Twitter.
On Thursday, Ortiz fired off his first tweet in over four months.
Yooo @Twitter ...I’m baccckk ?? catching up on all the tweets I missed the past few months. Thankful for all the luv n support ??

He's still got all the moves. Gracious, charismatic, and energizing as ever.
Welcome back to the Twitterverse, Papi.
The MLB universe could never quite be the same without David Ortiz firing on all cylinders and flashing that larger-than-life smile of his. Sure, limbering up that Twitter finger is nothing like that triumphant return to Fenway or helping his daughter move into college, but it marks one more step toward normalcy after what became a tumultuous, scary 2019 for the future Hall of Famer.
