Jon Jones shocked UFC fans this weekend by announcing he is giving up his Light Heavyweight belt and seemingly walking away from the company. This came after a public back-and-forth with Dana White in which Jones apparently wanted to jump to heavyweight, while White claimed the champ demanded far too much money.

The result is a lose-lose for everyone involved, yet White has continued to dig in deeper, and had more bad things to say about Jones on Sunday.

Jones and White having a passive-aggressive fight is terrible for the sport, no matter how you look at things.

Jones claimed the UFC President was tarnishing his name in a series of tweets sharing his grievances. White was not having it, and seemed to allude to Jones having legal troubles of his own during his career.

Jones is now gone, and UFC is once again without one of the best fighters to ever enter the octagon. White is known for being outspoken, but he may have gone too far this time if it means Jones is gone for good.
