Cubs' Jose Quintana Has Been on Fire Ever Since His Infamous Prank Pizza Order
By Max Scoli

There is a reason why pizza is so popular in the Windy City.
Chicago Cubs pitcher Jose Quintana jokingly ordered a pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut prior to a game against the Cincinnati Reds, and has been on fire ever since. Really?
Since ordering the "bullpen pizza", Quintana is 6-0 with a 3.67 ERA in seven starts, including a strong performance last night where he gave up only 1 run on 2 hits along with seven strikeouts in seven innings pitched. He has been particularly effective in his last three starts for the Cubs, allowing only six runs across 17.2 innings with 15 strikeouts and two walks.

Struggling up until that point, Quintana is 6-0 with a 3.67 ERA since (his 6-gamer the longest streak by a Cub this year).
"Don't change anything," he said. "It's still pepperoni."
This pizza-fueled rampage is exactly what Quintana needed to recover from his rocky start to the year.
Before the Pizza Hut order, the former MLB All-Star had a less-than-perfect 5-8 record with a 4.38 ERA. Now, the Colombian pitcher has hit his stride and has the confidence to turn his season around.

There is no telling when this pizza roll will end.
