The Dallas Cowboys received some good news regarding one of the offense's top weapons, but it's not about Ezekiel Elliott.

Dak Prescott's top target Amari Cooper is expected to be ready Sunday when the Cowboys take on the New York Giants in Dallas. Rest easy, Cowboys fans.

Cooper has been dealing with a foot injury throughout the summer, causing him to miss some time here and there. Cooper practiced Monday and experienced no pain in that foot for the duration of the session.

That's great news for Prescott and the Cowboys, as they were a completely different team after acquiring the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver. In nine games with Dallas, Cooper compiled 725 yards and six touchdowns on 53 receptions. In that span, the Cowboys went 7-2 and won the NFC East division ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cooper, an unrestricted free agent after the season, is a crucial part of the Cowboys offense, especially if Elliott's holdout extends into the regular season. Dallas becomes completely one dimensional without Elliott, putting even more pressure on Cooper to perform for the team.

Luckily for Dallas, its opening opponent shouldn't cause much of a problem for them with or without their top weapons.
