Cowboys Star OL Tyron Smith Says He'll Be Better Than Ever in 2019

Tyron Smith claims he's back and ready to be the best version of himself, and that could be a problem for NFL defenders looking to feast on QB Dak Prescott.

The veteran Cowboys o-lineman has dealt with multiple nagging injuries in his back, knee, groin and neck that have prevented him from reaching full health in most of the games he's played in his career. However, it appears as if he is beginning to turn a corner that will allow him to finally maximize his potential as one of the best lineman in the game. That's what he's saying, anyway.

Smith, 28, has already made six Pro Bowls in his career as the main blindside protector in Big D, and has helped clear the lanes for star running back Ezekiel Elliott as well. Smith makes this offensive line and a run-heavy scheme go, and with veteran tight end Jason Witten also returning to the field, the Cowboys might have their best blocking season of the Prescott era in 2019.

A humming Cowboys attack to pair with a young, up-and-coming defense full of studs is a scary proposition for the rest of the league.

Keep in mind that Tyron Smith wasn't even fully healthy in 2018, yet he still allowed zero sacks in his 849 snaps played. That's serious stuff.
