Cowboys Star DeMarcus Lawrence Jabs Carson Wentz With Snarky Subtweet

Not everyone is happy about the new Carson Wentz contract extension-- especially not if you happen to play or root for the team with the blue star on the side of its helmet, the one that still hasn't extended its own franchise QB. One player in particular, Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, did not mince his words when it came to describing how he truly felt about his NFC East foe securing the bag.

Yeah, that's an honest take right there. Lawrence, who posted 10.5 sacks for a vaunted Cowboys defense in 2018, feasts on birds from Philly twice a year and is therefore quite familiar with their franchise quarterback. The Eagles-Cowboys rivalry is already among the most heated in the NFL; adding some shots from the Tank should only intensify matters going into this season.

Rest assured, this isn't the last we'll hear from DeMarcus Lawrence or the Cowboys on the issue of Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles. Get your popcorn ready for when these two teams meet again during the 2019 season.
