Cowboys Provide Update on Amari Cooper's Thigh Injury
By Parker White

During Sunday's loss to the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Amari Cooper left the game and didn't return because of a quad injury.
Dallas has now diagnosed him with a thigh bruise, which can be very painful, but doesn't appear to be overly serious to the point of missing extended time.
#Cowboys WR Amari Cooper was diagnosed yesterday with a thigh bruise, source said, which can be horribly painful and knocked him out of the loss to the #Jets. At the least, though, there is no indication of long-term damage.

When Cowboys VP Stephen Jones was asked about the team's countless injuries, he insisted that if Cooper, Tyron Smith, and others don't return this week against the Philadelphia Eagles, that they'll be ready to go after the subsequent bye week.
S. Jones on #Cowboys injuries says he believes if Amari Cooper, Randall Cobb, Tyron Smith and La’el Collins aren’t back this week for game vs @Eagles, they should return after the bye week. @1053thefan

You would think the Cowboys should be able to function without Cooper for one more week if that ends up being the case, but they struggled mightily on Sunday in his absence absence.
Cooper has been a major asset for this offense, as he's hauled in 33 receptions for 515 yards and five touchdowns over six games. There's simply no like-for-like replacement for his talent, and his return cannot come soon enough for Big D.
