The Cowboys have had their fair share of roster drama here in the buildup to the regular season, but now the 53-man group is set.

With cutdown day finished and the preseason in the rear-view mirror, here's a look at how things shook out for Dallas' final 53-man roster.

Dak Prescott will be running the show at quarterback with Cooper Rush backing him up yet again. Flanking them in the backfield are running backs Tony Pollard and Alfred Morris. Ezekiel Elliott is on reserve, though negotiations between him and the Cowboys have ramped up over the weekend.

Amari Cooper and Randall Cobb headline the receiving corps this year, while Jason Witten makes his return at tight end. Witten, of course, spent the 2018 season in retirement. The offensive line will feature the same group as last year, with Travis Frederick making his return at center after missing last season due to injury.

The defensive line looks to be a strong group for the Cowboys once again, featuring the likes of Maliek Collins, Robert Quinn and DeMarcus Lawrence. Quinn, however, will start the season serving a suspension.

Safety George Iloka was released, again primarily due to depth. The Cowboys will have a mix of youth and experience at safety in Jeff Heath and Xavier Woods. The powerful trio of Sean Lee, Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch are all set to return at linebacker as well.

All in all, the Cowboys look to have a pretty strong group heading into the 2019 season. All that remains for them to do is lock up their star running back.
