Complete List of MLB Grand Slams on Same Day as WWE SummerSlam is Joyful
By Charles Nason

Each year, the WWE holds their SummerSlam event in the month of August. This year, the event will be held at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Aug. 11. Weirdly enough, the day of SummerSlam also holds a unique record in an entirely different sport.
Since 1991, there have been 27 grand slams in the MLB hit on the same day as SummerSlam. On Sunday, two more were added to the list.
For my wrasslin pals: There have been 27 MLB grand slams hit on the same day as SummerSlam. Will we get another today? Greg Bird's last year was the first one hit in the same city on the same day as the event. Will we get another in Toronto, in another Yankees/Blue Jays game? pic.twitter.com/BhFx8t8hjf

Unfortunately the Blue Jays nor the Yankees were able to hit a grand slam in their Sunday tilt, meaning we won't see a same-city slam again this year. However, both Carlos Santana of the Indians and Lane Thomas of the Cardinals both went yard with ducks on the pond in two of the more dramatic home runs you'll see this season.

After watching the Yankees' Greg Bird blast a grand slam on the same day and in the same city of SummerSlam last year, there might be something to this theory.

There's no explanation for any of this, it's just a phenomenon which deserves reporting. For that, you're welcome.
