Clemson DT Xavier Kelly Announces Decision to Transfer to Arkansas
By Karl Rasmussen

Xavier Kelly has struggled to find playing time during his three-year tenure at Clemson, which has resulted in the DT seeking increased opportunity.
Well, he announced his decision to transfer on Monday night, revealing he'd be taking his talents to Arkansas.

Kelly recorded just six tackles last season, alongside 0.5 sacks. In his entire Clemson career he's logged just 22 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
The former 4-star recruit was the No. 1 prospect out of the state of Kansas in 2016, and was heralded as the No. 8 defensive end prospect. Unfortunately those credentials didn't translate to a lot of playing time for Dabo Swinney's Tigers, and thus he is transferring to Arkansas.

Other programs were keen on landing the 6-4, 305-pound DT, including Kansas State, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina.
Arkansas is in dire need of some defensive tackle assistance, having lost some of their more experienced defensive lineman to graduation. Kelly should get to see the field pretty quickly into his Razorbacks tenure, which will hopefully help him build his case for the pros.
