The Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback situation is set, with Patrick Mahomes emerging as their starter for the next decade or so, no matter the price on the extension he ultimately receives. Still, the Chiefs still need a backup on the roster, and they locked down the man who's been there all along in Chad Henne on Thursday.

And based on the photo the team tweeted out, we really do mean "locked down."

Kansas City's official Twitter account announced on Thursday that they re-signed Henne to a two-year contract. But the main takeaway from their announcement is the photo they used of Henne signing his new deal.

We have so many questions about this picture. Is Henne in self-quarantining in his disaster-situation bunker? Or was he kidnapped by Chiefs personnel to an unspecified location off the grid to have him cross his T's and dot his I's?

As it turns out, we're not the only ones concerned for Henne's well-being.

Awesome. Creepy. Same thing.

With this coronavirus outbreak going on, we can't blame Henne for playing it safe in an historic bunker.

Was Henne tied down and threatened with a pair of pliers by general manager Brett Veach? Nothing's off the table...especially THAT table.

Whatever the case may be, the deal is official, and Henne will be backing up Mahomes for the next two seasons, if he can solve several puzzles over a one-hour period and escape this room.
