You didn't have to lecture the Kansas City Chiefs' biggest stars about doing right by their community amid growing fears about the coronavirus pandemic.

First, wideout Tyreek Hill pledged to donate 6,000 meals to the Harvesters Community Food Network, a food bank located in KC that helps provide meals to the less fortunate across nearly 30 counties. The 26-year-old speedster made the announcement on Twitter and challenged his teammates to make a similar contribution.

As expected, Hill wasn't disappointed.

Travis Kelce was the first to reply to the four-time Pro Bowler, with the 30-year-old tight end revealing that he would donate 12,000 meals to Harvesters.

Once Patrick Mahomes caught wind of this charitable movement, he unsurprisingly one-upped his teammates by pledging 15,000 meals. Additionally, the superstar gunslinger disclosed that his "15 and Mahomies" foundation is offering up $100,000 to institutions in Kansas City that need help coping with COVID-19.

With the current news cycle filled with so much negativity, this is exactly the type of news we want to see. Hill, Kelce, and Mahomes deserve our thanks for their philanthropic commitments.

Hopefully, this leads to more NFL superstars taking action in the near future.
