A major relief for Cleveland fans on Thursday, as Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert has been discharged from the hospital after spending nearly a month in care. Gilbert suffered a stroke on May 26, and was immediately submitted to Beaumont Hospital in Michigan to receive intensive care, where he eventually received a catheter-based procedure.

The 57-year-old Gilbert will now continue his recovery at an in-patient rehabilitation center. Gilbert not only owns the Cleveland Cavaliers, but is also the founder and chairman of Quicken Loans.

Quicken Loans CEO Jay Farner announced Gilbert's status in a statement, also adding, "The entire (Gilbert) family is incredibly grateful for the world-class care Dan received from the entire staff of Beaumont Hospital. Dan is looking forward to beginning an intensive rehabilitation program and is eager to continue the progress he has made over the last several weeks."

The Cavs are certainly looking forward to getting Gilbert back, as the rebuilding franchise heads into a critical offseason. The team will be looking to get younger and clear payroll, as the prospect of moving players like Kevin Love is certainly on the table. The Cavaliers will be picking fifth overall in Thursday night's NBA draft.
