The Boston Bruins and the Edmonton Oilers are set to face off Wednesday night in Alberta in their final matchup of the NHL regular season.

How to Watch Bruins vs Oilers

The puck drops for the Bruins and the Oilers at 8:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on NESN and Sportsnet (Canada). The game stream can also be accessed through the NHL streams subreddit community.

It's no secret that the Edmonton Oilers are a different team without Connor McDavid, and his loss over the next few games will certainly be felt. That doesn't mean the Oilers have time to feel sorry for themselves. The top five spots in the Pacific Division are separated by just two points, and one bad run of games could mean no playoffs in Edmonton again.

In the absence of the Oilers captain, the team still has Leon Draisaitl, who has shocked everyone with an output of 91 points (34 goals) this season. Edmonton will also depend heavily on the goaltending to stop the potent Bruins attack, and it will be interesting to see if coach Dave Tippett chooses either Mike Smith or Mikko Koskinen to go in between the pipes.

The Bruins have not missed a beat after just falling short of their Stanley Cup goal last season. David Pastrnak is a goal-scoring machine, and currently leads the league, along with Auston Matthews, with 42 goals. Brad Marchand, through all of his instigating and antics, is still an elite talent, and the B's defense has the best goals-allowed average in the NHL.

The Bruins are hungry to secure another Stanley Cup success, and the game Wednesday night against another division leader will show how prepared they are for the playoffs.
