After a notable run-in with New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren on the ice, Brad Marchand did what he does best: he talked trash.

Following a convincing 3-1 win over the Rangers, the Boston Bruins winger ripped into Lindgren, questioning whether or not the 22-year-old had staying power in the NHL.

"He's not going to be a player there that's going to have a very long career," he said coldly. "I'm not overly concerned with him."

In the middle of the second period, Marchand boldly chose to cross-check Lindgren following a rather minor scrum in front of the net only to earn himself a cross-check to his own back.

But all things considered, his comments don't necessarily hold true based on quality of play. Lindgren has pieced together a solid campaign in his first full year in the league, logging a respectable 10 points and a plus-minus of eight.

Nonetheless, it's yet another ruthless comment from one of the leagues top trash talkers. Marchand just loves to get snide jabs like this in at his opponents to try and get under their skin.
