We know he won't be playing for a while, but it seems Cleveland Browns RB Kareem Hunt is dealing with other issues heading into training camp.

Hunt will start camp on the non-football injury list due to a groin injury he suffered from workouts.

With fellow back Trayone Gray also headed onto the list with a calf injury, players like Nick ChubbDuke Johnson and Dontrell Hilliard will get even more of an opportunity to get reps prior to the start of the 2019 NFL season.

Hunt is already set to miss the first eight games of the year while serving a suspension stemming from his infamous act of violence in an altercation with a woman in a hotel.

This incident left the Kansas City Chiefs no choice but to release the 2017 NFL rushing yards leader, but it didn't stop the Browns from giving him a shot.

General Manager John Dorsey spoke briefly about Hunt and his expectations, stating the following:

“Freddie and I both had a chance to sit down with him, and he understands there’s no guarantees in life, and he’s going about exactly what he’s been going about. He’s working his fanny off on the field as well as off the field.”

Outside of his off-the-field struggles, Hunt has proven to be one of the best running backs in the league. He was an absolute animal in 2017, generating 1,327 yards with 8 touchdowns that resulted in him being named Rookie of the Year.

Hunt was also impressive in 2018, rushing for 824 and 7 touchdowns in 11 games for the Chiefs before being released by the organization.
