Brewers Signing Former Dodgers and A's Pitcher Brett Anderson

The burners stay on, as the MLB hot stove is firing on all cylinders this week. The Milwaukee Brewers were the latest team to make a move, adding to their pitching rotation.
With numerous departures thus far, including Yasmani Grandal and Mike Moustakas, the Brewers have become more active on the market. Following Wednesday's signing of Josh Lindblom, the Brewers have further appended their pitching staff, striking a deal with left-hander Brett Anderson.
Free agent LHP Brett Anderson has officially been signed to a 1-year contract. Anderson went 13-9 with a 3.89 ERA in 31 starts with Oakland in 2019. His 13 wins marked a career high. pic.twitter.com/A8dBDLQt60

Anderson has had an interesting journey throughout his 10-year career, breaking into the MLB with the Athletics as a top prospect. He eventually bounced around the league until he reestablished himself as a viable starting option once again with Oakland in 2019. Anderson won a career-high 13 games in 2019, starting 31 games for the A's as they made the AL Wild-Card play-in game.
While this may not be the most attractive signing, Anderson could be a very valuable innings-eater for the Brew Crew.
Brewers Twitter is furious that they aren't throwing big multi-year deals at free agents RIGHT NOW, but equally furious that Ryan Braun MAKES TOO MUCH MONEY in the final years of his big multi-year deal.

What did we do before this wonderful free website?
In an ace-less rotation, currently buoyed by rock-solid Brandon Woodruff and the promising Adrian Houser, the addition of Anderson was a much-needed move for a Milwaukee team that was left reeling with the loss of several key players.
