The man is set to come back. New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said this week that outfielder Giancarlo Stanton could be activated from the injured list next week.

Well, now it's official, as Boone said they'll treat Monday as a travel day for Stanton and he'll be in the starting lineup on Tuesday.

Stanton continued his rehab assignment at Triple-A over the weekend, which went very well as he destroyed a ball that went out of the entire stadium. That was a good enough sign and he'll be back in the starting lineup come Tuesday against Tampa Bay.

The Yankee slugger has been out most of the 2019 season with a calf injury, which preceded injuries to his biceps and shoulder. Stanton has only played in three games (eight at-bats) this year, as he's been dealing with several injuries that have kept him on the sidelines.

With the acquisition of designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion, Stanton is likely to see the bulk of his starts in left field.
