It's no secret the Atlanta Braves are loaded with young talent - both in their farm system as well as their dugout. Pitching prospect Ian Anderson is one of the many young studs the Braves have at their disposal.

After being named to the 2019 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game earlier in the day on Friday, Anderson went out and had his best outing of his career, throwing a 14-strikeout no-hitter for the Mississippi Braves.

With the help of closer Jeremy Walker, he and Anderson combined to throw the first no-hitter for the Mississippi Braves in nearly a decade. The last no-hitter for the ball club came from the duo of Julio Teheran - who's currently one of the better pitchers in Atlanta's rotation - and Ty'Relle Harris in 2010.

Anderson is currently the No. 3 prospect for the Braves and No. 26 in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline. He's leading all Double-A pitchers with 113 K's in 85 2/3 innings pitched. The 21-year-old hurler pitcher also has a stellar 2.94 ERA this season while holding opposing batters to a .194 average.

The Braves already have a solid pitching staff in the majors with ace Mike Soroka leading the way. But, if the youngster keeps putting out performances like the one we saw Friday night, the Braves will have no choice but to call Anderson up to see what he can do against big league sluggers.
