Why is this even still being discussed? Is there any doubt Mike Soroka has earned his trip to the 2019 All-Star Game? Nope, not at all.

With the announcements for the AL and NL team coming on Sunday, Braves fans everywhere will be waiting for Sorkoa to hear his name called. And after Friday's showing against the Mets, there's no question at all he has earned a spot.

In the Atlanta win over New York, the youngster went 6 1/3 innings, allowing only two runs on seven hits. For the season as a whole, Soroka has been downright sensational.

He owns a 9-1 record, with a 2.13 ERA and 67 strikeouts. Oh and by the way, did we mention he's a rookie and only 21 years old? The guy has been legally allowed to drink for less than 11 months, but it still making vets look silly at the plate. Just ask Robinson Cano about that.

This kid has earned an All-Star nod. And come the end of the season, he belongs in the Rookie of the Year conversations as well.
