Braves GM's Latest Statement About Team's Health Contradicts Everything We Know About Coronavirus Testing

As the coronavirus pandemic is starting to take hold of America, the Atlanta Braves made it publicly known that their team has yet to have even one positive test for this deadly virus.

Braves GM Alex Anthopoulos announced that no one in the entire Braves organization has contracted the COVID-19 virus. While this is clearly great news, this statement goes against what we're being told about the availability of coronavirus testing.

This statement means one of two things, both of which are equally messed up in their own ways. If every player is confirmed to have been tested and proven healthy, that means the Braves managed to test their entire organization while millions of regular Americans are struggling to get tested, either through a lack of access, or an inability to afford the battery of tests needed to confirm that they are carrying the virus.

The American public are constantly being told that coronavirus testing on a wide scale is almost impossible currently, but the Braves and Utah Jazz can, according to Anthopoulos, have their entire team tested on a moment's notice.

If testing is as hard to conduct on a large scale as we have been told and every member on the Braves was NOT tested, then Anthopoulos was lying. A member of the Braves could be carrying the virus without showing any symptoms.

If we are to take Anthopoulos at his word and assume that all Braves personnel have been tested and cleared, it is nothing short of exceedingly wonderful news that the entire organization is clean. However, the fact that an entire baseball team can get tested at once when America as a whole is far behind most developed countries in terms of their testing procedures and production is still incredibly fishy.
