It goes without saying that the Atlanta Braves were out to make a statement to the rest of the MLB this offseason. The team made a plethora of needed additions that have them positioned -- perhaps better than in these last two division-winning seasons -- to make a deep run in October.

Well, with Spring Training right around the corner, the Braves have flexed their muscles once again in demonstrating just how serious they are about their present and future.

On Monday, the club announced that manager Brian Snitker and his entire coaching staff have had their contracts extended through the 2021 campaign. Additionally, VP and general manager Alex Anthopoulos has been promoted to president of baseball operations while retaining the GM title, with his contract now extending through the 2024 season.

Snitker is entering his fourth season as Atlanta's skipper, a tenure during which he has compiled a 318-292 record and has led the club to two straight NL East titles.

Anthopoulos came on before the 2018 season to run the front office. He will continue to report to chairman Terry McGuirk.

The Braves' brass are clearly impressed with the accomplishments Snitker and Anthopoulos have amassed thus far, as they're making it clear they hold the keys to the organization.
