Blues Fans Setting up Fundraiser for the Blind After Refs Miss Blatant Hand Pass in Game 3

The St. Louis Blues got absolutely robbed in their Game 3 overtime loss against the San Jose Sharks when the officials missed an obvious hand pass, which set up the game-winning goal.

The call was later said to not be reviewable considering the refs did not call it a hand pass on the original play, so the damage was done once the call was made.

As expected, St. Louis fans are outraged, but they're using that anger for a good cause.

Blues fan John Randall started a fundraiser for the St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired, asking the fans who watched Game 3 on Wednesday night for donations, with a goal of $7,000, in honor of the referee who missed the call.

The hand pass occurred just over five minutes into the first overtime when Timo Meier shoveled the puck into the slot for Gustav Nyquist, who then set up Erik Karlsson for the game-winner. Blues fans and players were irate, and St. Louis head coach Craig Berube had nothing to say in his postgame interview.

The GoFundMe has raised almost $2,000 in nine hours of its existence thanks to the furious Blues fans.

But unfortunately for the Blues, if one thing is beginning to become a theme in these playoffs, it's that the Sharks keep getting luckier and luckier with each series.
